WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

AN AEROPRESS BREWER

FILTERS

A KETTLE

A GRINDER (OR BUY PRE GROUND)

DIGITAL SCALES

16g COFFEE - 250ml WATER

1:15 RATIO

2 MINUTES

 

Step 1

Place a filter paper in the screw-on cap.

Screw cap onto the Aeropress chamber and place face down onto your preheated mug and rinse with hot water to remove the filter taste.

 
 
 

Step 2

Grind/weigh 16g of coffee and pour into the Aeropress chamber.

Gently shake to level the coffee bed.

 
 
 

Step 3

Start the timer

Pour 60ml of water and agitate coffee bed. Leave to bloom for 30 seconds.

 
 
 

Step 4

Pour remaining 190ml of water within 15 seconds and stir from left to right (not in circles).

 
 
 

Step 5

Create a vacuum by gently placing the plunger into the chamber to prevent coffee from prematurely filtering through.

After 1 minute, press down on the plunger using just your body weight.

Stop pressing when you hear hissing.
